review 1: This book gives interesting insight on the role of puns in many different languages. This book gave me a greater appreciation of puns and our brains ability to decipher them. (I love Psychology). I never realized how much we, as a society, use puns for so many different things and that not all puns are strictly used to be *ha ha* laughed at. It was a great read, though like some of the things you read, take it with a grain of salt.
review 2: The best part was the introduction where the author recounts his experiences in a pun competition. The first few chapters are a fun tour of the world of puns, but toward the end of the book it kind of fades in quality, and by the end it seems like the author has a pile of 3x5 cards with ideas on them and is merely fleshing
... moreeach one out into a paragraph and stringing them together. I found that disappointing. The idea of the book is much more fun than the book itself, it turned out. less

Fun, quick read. The first chapter describing his exploits at the world "pun-off" was hilarious.
